The PI Demo is Online

Dear Friends of PI,

Over the last months, thanks to a USAID grant awarded to PI as one of the winners of the Tech Challenge for Atrocity Prevention co-sponsored by Humanity United we successfully developed a web based demo of some of the PI features. At this stage the demo is based on an incident report scenario. We invite you to visit our Demo page to access the demo and test out some of its features.

USAID award and next steps

The news is out, USAID awarded a seed grant to PI among other winners of the Tech Challenge for Atrocity Prevention co-sponsored by Humanity United.

A lot happened since we applied for this USAID seed grant earlier this year, including being awarded a first small grant by the Humanitarian Innovation Fund which allowed us to make some headway in presenting PI to a series of prospective human rights and humanitarian stakeholders, Read More ...

Preliminary workshop results

This is a long overdue post, but frankly it’s because we’ve been busy writing the results of our first two workshops, preparing for and attending a Mobile Unconference early November around the use of mobile technology in the context of crises, and agreeing on research support for the project with the TU Delft and the Leiden University new Peace Informatics Lab.
