Develop PI with the Humanitarian Community

End of July I went to Geneva and presented PI to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in a meeting organized by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the International Committee for the Red Cross (ICRC). I also managed to pitch PI to the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) thanks to on the spot contacts who set up a last minute meeting. Read More ...

We raise Interest!

AI We are proud to announce that Amnesty International has signed a letter of intent, pledging among other things to host a development workshop in London in Q4 2014 to elicit their needs and requirements to develop and run PI; share with us their crowd-sourcing expertise; help test first prototypes; identify possible pilots and assist running them; and once PI reaches operational maturity and conforms to Amnesty’s needs and requirements to make use of it in pursuit of their mandate. Partnership Agreement with FPU

FPU We have a number of good news this week. Besides getting our first grant from HIF we would also like to announce that we signed a partnership agreement with Free Press Unlimited (FPU), a non-profit media organization based in Amsterdam.

HIF is funding PI: We get the Go Ahead

HIF-logo ELRHA-logo At PI we are particularity excited at the news that Humanitarian Innovation Fund (HIF) accepted our first small grant application, as this means that we can now launch the first phase of our three years long project to develop PI’s technology.

Thanks to HIF we can now start working at the first phase of the development of PI’s technology whose objective is to identify PI’s functional requirements in close collaboration with a series of national and international humanitarian and human rights NGOs. Read More ...
